Rooted in an ancient wisdom older than our roads, turtles return year after year to the places where they were born to nest. Their slow, determined crossings reveal a profound instinct for continuity yet, they must navigate a landscape reshaped by human speed, pavement, and indifference. Each journey across a busy road becomes an act of survival, exposing the fragile boundary between nature’s rhythms and our built environment. This work asks whether humans can learn to coexist with the lives already moving around us, and what is lost when progress leaves no safe passage for the natural world.
