An accomplished creative whose work spans design, photography, and painting, Michael Bourque has achieved one of the defining accomplishments of an artist: developing a distinctive visual language that is immediately recognizable as his own.

At the heart of Bourque’s artistic practice is his signature "mark-making technique", celebrating the expressive power and individuality of each brushstroke. Through richly textured impasto applications, rhythmic repetition, and carefully composed geometric forms, his paintings reveal an unmistakable artistic identity. Each deliberate mark contributes to compositions that are both structured and expressive, creating a compelling dialogue between color, texture, and movement.

This striking three-panel composition beautifully exemplifies Bourque’s distinctive approach. A sophisticated palette of warm gold, amber, crisp white, and earthy neutrals creates an elegant visual harmony, while bold circular forms and intricate patterns of raised brushstrokes bring depth, dimension, and energy to the work. The interplay of geometric precision and expressive texture gives each panel its own character while connecting all three through a cohesive visual rhythm.

A commanding focal point for contemporary interiors, this work is particularly well suited to expansive residential spaces, sophisticated corporate environments, and architecturally distinctive settings. Its refined palette offers versatility, while its sculptural surface and distinctive composition ensure a memorable visual presence.
